The Fry Street Public House is the quintessential example of the evolution of the American Pub. As Denton’s first Gastropub, The Fry Street Public House was developed with the entertaining and dining needs of the typical college student in mind. The term “Gastropub” was originally coined in London in 1991 after two savvy Pub owners decided that the typical “pub grub” was no longer acceptable by their standards or for their clientele. Since that time, Gastropubs have begun to slowly introduce themselves into the American culture. However, The Fry Street Public House is not your typical pub, club, bar or even Gastropub for that matter! When the sun goes down, the party cranks up! Come for the food, stay for the party!

Located right off the University of North Texas campus and accessible from the Texas Womens University area as well, Public House is a great place for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner - via dining in, ordering take-out or delivery! We're also a great alternative to local sports bars or taverns to enjoy watching your favorite team on any one of over 15 HD televisions and 5 gigantic projector screens!
